 Tinta Barroca sind früh reifende Trauben und eine der fünf wertvollsten für die Portweinproduktion, wobei sie auch gerne für das Keltern als Cuvée genommen in der Douro-Region.Die Rebe mag kühlere Lagen und wird meist in den Nordlagen höherer Lagen gepflanzt.
